John Crockett was included in the Navy List of Medical Officers of 1814.  He was appointed Surgeon on the Cygnet in 1819.
John Crocket was appointed surgeon on two convict ship voyages to Australia:
1). Prince of Orange to Van Diemen's Land in 1822
2). Mangles to New South Wales in 1824. He kept a Medical Journal from 27 May to 1 November 1824 
He was a brother of Henry Crocket of Van Diemen's Land.
