Harvey Morris was appointed Surgeon to H.M.S. Racer on 24 September 1838, to serve in N. America and W. Indies. H.M.S. Racer was a sloop built at Portsmouth in 1833. 430 tons. 71 officers and men, 24 boys and 20 marines served on board. [2]
Harvey Morris was on the List of Surgeons of the Royal Navy who were fit for service in 1841.
