Naval Career

James Morice was appointed Hospital Mate at Haslar in 1812 [1]. He was entered in the Navy List of Medical Officers in 1814 and appointed to the Causo in 1815. [2]

He was appointed Surgeon to the Marquis Camden sailing to St. Helena, Singapore and China, departing 8 December 1825 returning 13 January 1826. [3]

Surgeon Superintendent

James Morice was employed as Surgeon Superintendent on the convict ship Midas in 1827
