John Crockett was included in the Navy List of Medical Officers of 1814. [1] He was appointed Surgeon on the Cygnet in 1819.

John Crocket was appointed surgeon on two convict ship voyages to Australia:
1). Prince of Orange to Van Diemen's Land in 1822
2).
Mangles to New South Wales in 1824. He kept a Medical Journal from 27 May to 1 November 1824 [3]

He was a brother of Henry Crocket of Van Diemen's Land. [2]

John Crocket was on the List of Surgeons of the Royal Navy who were unfit for service in 1841
