Convict Ship Surgeon


John Pawson was appointed to the position of Assistant-Surgeon on 10 January 1810. He was appointed Assistant-Surgeon to the Crocodile in 1810.

Surgeon Superintendent

He was employed as Surgeon on the Archduke Charles in 1813.

The Archduke Charles departed Cork 15 May 1812 and arrived in New South Wales on 16 February 1813. John Pawson was regarded by the convicts on the Archduke Charles as man of good and kind feelings [1].
