Alexander Johnston was granted a
publicans' license for the Victoria Inn in June 1841. He was
granted a license for the Queen Victoria Inn in June 1844 and
1845. He was granted a license for the
at Muswellbrook in 1846.
The Camberwell Annual
Races were held at the rear of the Queen Victoria Inn
in April 1848.
Morris Magney purchased furniture
from the Forbes Hotel
in Singleton in 1848 and in August of that year he was
cautioning the public not to purchase the furniture from the
Forbes as it was his 'bona fide property', purchased at
public auction in June under distraint for rent.
Morris Magney took out the license for the California Hotel
in Watt Street Newcastle.
