This land (shown near 'Gunda' on the map below) was a grant to John Stewart who arrived on the Courier in 1824.
He was employed as Superintendent by Peter McIntyre however died in March 1830.
His two grants amounting to 600 acres were later acquired by Peter McIntyre.
